  • moving to a new site

I haven't been writing much on my xanga, and I have decided to try making a little money through blogging.  I have a new site:

    http://raleyfamilysfarm.blogspot.com

Google is supposed to place ads that match the content of my blogs.  Gage did try it and saw an ad that said "Seeking a Wife? Latin American Women Marriage. 1000s Women Are Looking For Men".

Doesn't sound too promising for a click, does it?  Not sure I want my unmarried son to go there...

But I'm going to give it a shot.  If anyone looks, and sees an inappropriate ad, let me know.  If you see something interesting, click it, that's how I earn money, by people checking out the ads on the page.  Subscribe to the blog if you think you might enjoy it.  Like here, it will focus on homeschooling, large families, foster care and adoption.

At first, there will be some articles that are also on my associated content page, I'm just trying to get it going.

  • before and after

Several weeks ago, a friend had everyone run their before and after picture of their adopted children on an adoption list.  I just thought I'd show you all what Tommy looked like when he first came to our house a year ago, the dull eyes of an attachement disordered baby, and then how he looks today.

These two are just right after we got Tommy.

And here he is, last week, vright eyed, with Mary Susannah:

  • INTRODUCING

    Thomas Grant Keith Raley!!!

Our picture taker didn't center very well!!  The judge wanted just me, Bill and Tommy with him in the picture, but Angel-Leah ran up and joined us.  Oh well...

Here's another one with as many of our children that could make it today, plus a grandson:

    Outside the court house:

This is our cake.  I started cutting it before I realized that we hadn't taken a picture yet!!  Horrors!!  It was funny, they've got the stick daddy stuck in the icing, and they added one too many little boys on the end, which my children say is prophetic that I'll probably adopt again before I die...

It was a beautiful day.  Another family was adopting before us.  They had a LOT of older adults with them, and one of the men prayed the most beautiful prayer before they left the front.  It made me cry, which the social worker teased me about, she said I'm not supposed to cry at other people's adoptions!  But I was already teary, which made me cry again when our was granted, and this time the judge teased me a bit!!

    I am so happy!!

  • adoption placement

Pray for us tomorrow, we are going to a meeting to make baby brother an adoption placement!  He's been a foster child since the day he was born, but now he's going to have a forever family - US!

We'll get this done tomorrow, he'll have our name after it, and then all that is left is to file the paperwork, and go before the judge to make it final.  We should be able to do that in less than a month~
